This year is a great time to enjoy your Labor Day weekend celebrations by trying these family fun events in the North Atlanta area. Below we’ve shared a few of our local favorite happenings for you to experience. We want to wish everyone a fun and safe Labor Day weekend and while you’re out at these events, of course, you’re invited to drop by any of our premium communities and take a tour of the luxury decorated, model home on display. 

Experience the Pig Out

Pig out on September 3rd from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Palmer Plaza in Oak Steakhouse + Colletta with the whole family! This Labor Day weekend marks the 3rd annual Labor Day Pig Out where you can join chefs Jason Stern and Stuart Rogers for an all you can eat feast. Enjoy lunch and dinner favorites such as brisket, pulled pork, chicken, mac and cheese, corn on the cobb and then end your feast with dozens of dessert options. There’s no better way to wrap up the summer BBQ season than on a full stomach at the Pig Out, which you’ll definitely have by the time it’s over.

Art in the Park

On September 2nd-4th, make sure to stop by Historic Marietta Square where you can help celebrate the 31st anniversary of “Marietta’s Art in the Park” You can view fine art made by 175 local and national artists at this premier event in Marietta. Often referred to as one of the best fine art shows in metro Atlanta, it serves as a Labor Day tradition for locals and regional visitors to attend. On top of the fine art on display, you’ll also get to have fun browsing the Chalk spot. This street art competition is a favorite for young aspiring artists. Kids of all ages will enjoy the Children’s Art Valley, a free and interactive “make and take” experience the whole family will enjoy. Additionally, the Food Truck Row offers a perfect place to stop and enjoy some great food and more.

Celebrate the End of Summer

On September 3rd, at 5:30 you can say your final goodbye’s to the summer season with the 17th annual end of summer event. Located at Centennial High School this event will have several family friendly activities such as carnival games, giant inflatables, face painting, fireworks at dark, and the annual dancing contest for kids. On top of all the fun activities available you’ll also get to enjoy food from Shane’s Ribshack. Admission for this event is free making it perfect if you’re trying to have some quick Labor Day fun close to home.
