There’s always something fun to do near Sharp Residential communities, especially in Cherokee County. In both Canton and Woodstock, there are several family-friendly summer activities to take advantage of this summer. Here are some of the fun summer events and activities to enjoy near our Cherokee County new home communities.
Farmers markets are the ideal place to buy fresh, local produce. Not only do you support local farmers within your community, but you can enjoy time spent with family, friends, and neighbors. Two popular Cherokee County farmers markets are located in Canton and Woodstock.
Canton Farmers Market
The Canton Farmers Market is open every Saturday through October 27. Head to Cannon Park from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm to buy local produce and homemade treats. The farmers market also features live music, cooking demonstrations, and kids activities.
Woodstock Farmers Market
Now in its 10th year, the Woodstock Farm Fresh Market is open every Saturday through December. Because vendors are required to grow at least 85% of their product, you can rest easy knowing it is locally grown.
Who doesn’t love an evening of listening to live music? Especially during the summer months, this has become a regular occurrence in several communities. One musical event to take advantage of this summer is Canton First Fridays. Every first Friday of the month through October, head to downtown Canton from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There will be live music, a car show, and a variety of food vendors.
Watching an outdoor movie is the perfect way to spend a night of quality time with your family this summer. In Cherokee County, you can head to either Canton or Woodstock throughout the summer. Both Movies in the Park programs are part of Georgia Movies in the Park. Canton Movies in the Park is held at Browns Park in downtown Canton. Woodstock Movies in the Park takes place at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater. You can bring lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks to both events to sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.
